THINGS TO NOTE:
1 DO I SHOOT ON FILM OR DIGITAL?
All photographs are taken with digital, professional Nikon cameras, producing the highest quality. The benefits of digital include not having to change film as I go from sunshine to a darker interior, and being able to present the images online quickly.
2. HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I TAKE?
The number of photographs taken can vary considerably but on average approximately 300 to 500 will be taken, the best of each moment edited. A mixture of both Colour and Black & White photographs will be produced. Intimate, portrait shots using the later.
3. WHO WILL HAVE COPYRIGHT?
It is unusual to be given full copyright for all the photos the photographer takes as some of these photographs may appear on my website advertising my services or made available to a picture library so if you have any objections, this should be discussed prior to signing a contract.
4. WHO WILL EDIT THE PHOTOS?
If you are short of time, the best digital photographs can be produced on a CD fairly quickly. But beware, you may regret passing up the chance to see every photo and making your own selection. What’s going on in the background of one photo may well tell a story in itself.
5. HOW LONG WILL I STAY ON THE DAY?
Before deciding on the number of hours you would like your photographer to work, its important to decide what shots you want. Formal photographers will leave after the cake cutting and speeches, while Reportage photographers such as myself will stay as long as it takes to get all the shots. It is therefore important to discuss the photographic needs in advance in relation to how the day is planned.
6. WILL I VISIT THE VENUE BEFOREHAND?
I like to visit the venue beforehand to make sure I am familiar with it, meet the event manager, search out romantic locations and understand how the wedding will run. I also need to be familiar with contingency plans. For example, where I will take the posed shots if it rains. If a visit prior to the wedding is not possible I will arrive earlier on the day itself.
7. WHEN DO WE GET THE PHOTOS?
If you have chosen to have your photographs simply presented on a CD delivery is usually within 48 hours. Confirmation of this will be given at the time of signing a contract with you or your Representative / Event Manager.
8. HOW CAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY SEE THEM?
Your guests will want to see the pictures as soon as they can and the internet is the perfect way to share them. Those presented on-line will be low resolution. This service is provided at an additional fee.
